
TRIS recently presented an exhibition called "The World's Greatest Mela – Honoring India’s Cinematic Legacy" at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi. Curated by Neville Tuli, the exhibit showcased a carefully selected assortment from a vast collection of over 400,000 items related to Indian cinema. Visitors had the opportunity to view rare film posters, vintage booklets, original publicity materials, and memorabilia from iconic films associated with TRIS. The exhibition also included hand-painted posters, vintage booklets, and promotional materials from classic Indian movies like "Mughal-E-Azam," "Pakeezah," and "Sholay." Furthermore, it showcased significant collaborations in Indian cinema, such as those between Raj Kapoor and Nargis, and Amitabh Bachchan and Manmohan Desai. Additionally, the role of dance in Indian cinema was explored, underscoring its importance as a storytelling device. Throngs of student groups from various educational institutions flocked to the exhibition, eager to delve into the history of Indian cinema and its impact on the nation.
